NFC Play! is a game platform app by SonolDev. We take your privacy seriously. Short version: solo play collects nothing. Multiplayer stores only a temporary display name in iCloud to make real-time rooms work.
All solo features — reading and writing NFC cards, game history, custom games, folders, stats and the NFC business card — work entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. No account, no login, no tracking.
The real-time multiplayer feature uses Apple's CloudKit (iCloud public database) to create and synchronise rooms. When you start or join a multiplayer session, the following data is stored temporarily on Apple's iCloud servers:
· A display name you choose at the moment of joining (not linked to your Apple ID).
· The room code (6-digit number).
· Game events: NFC card scans and chat messages you send during the session.
· A device identifier (random UUID, not tied to your identity).
This data is stored in Apple's iCloud infrastructure and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not access, store or process this data on any server of our own. Room data is not automatically deleted by CloudKit — it persists until the cloud storage is cleaned up by Apple or the container is reset.
Multiplayer is entirely opt-in. If you only use solo features, no data ever leaves your device.
NFC Play! contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising network and no tracking library. We do not collect device information, usage statistics or behavioural data of any kind.
NFC card content is read and written directly on your device using Apple's CoreNFC framework. Card content is never uploaded or shared automatically.
Solo data is protected by iOS device encryption. Multiplayer data in iCloud is protected by Apple's security infrastructure.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Solo play collects nothing. If a child uses multiplayer, only the display name chosen at session time is stored temporarily in iCloud, as described in section 2.
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
